LEBANON — On Tuesday night prior to the Lebanon-Richlands baseball game, they recognized a man who played a critical role in securing the funding for our indoor batting facility, Mr. Jack Cole.
Mr. Cole spearheaded this project in hopes of creating a place on campus for Lebanon Baseball to utilize in all kinds of weather. Mr. Cole had quite a bit of help from his grandchildren, their teammates, and the businesses of Russell County, as many people in our community banded together to make this dream a reality.
Lebanon High School recognizes the businesses that contributed monetarily with a sign on the back of the facility, and they honor Mr. Cole with a sign on the front of the facility, dedicating the building to him.
Mr. Cole passed away on November 3, 2022, and everyone was saddened that he could not be here to witness this day. LHS wanted to show our gratitude to Mr. Cole, as well as his family, for the work he put in to provide this much-needed building for our student-athletes.
