HONAKER — There is a change at the helm of Tiger baseball. Chris Anderson will transition to an assistant role after eight years as head coach with an outstanding record of 91-57, having replaced Hall of Fame coach Tom Harding. Derrick Murphy, a disciple of Harding and a star on the 2011 VHSL Group A, Division 2 state championship team, takes the reins.

“I want to strive to have success right away,” commented Murphy. “It may not come the first game or second game, but we’re looking to put some games together. We have to put the puzzle together, but I think the group we have the ceiling is really high. We just have to figure it all out.”
