HONAKER — A 5-3 loss to Chilhowie in the regular season finale dropped the Tigers from second to fourth place in the 2024 softball standings. They found their footing and racked up three consecutive wins to claim the Hogoheegee district tournament title. They advanced to the semifinals of the Region 1D tournament, where they fell to eventual regional champion Eastside.
After finishing a 13-10 season and graduating just one player (catcher Anna Dye), expectations are sky-high in the Tiger camp. Ten players return with varsity experience, and four talented freshmen join them.
