BRISTOL – The Tigers have a state wrestling champion! Saturday in the Bearcat Den, sophomore Hunter Dye brought home the gold. Dye is the Class 1, 113-pound state wrestling champion.

“It’s an awesome feeling to be a part of the first state champion at Honaker,” said Tiger coach Dylan Shortridge. “It was a great match. We knew what Bo (Anders) would try to do going into the match, so we practiced and devised a game plan. I’m so proud of Hunter and the work that he puts in. Hunter stays incredibly humble, and he deserves this.”
