Honaker 39, Rural Retreat 16

Carey Keene pulled down a dozen rebounds and Julianna Farmer scored 10 points as the Honaker Tigers topped Rural Retreat in a battle between the top two teams in the Hogoheegee District.

Honaker (17-1) can clinch the Hogoheegee regular-season title tonight with a win at Patrick Henry.

Honaker led 10-2 after one quarter and 20-6 at halftime on Monday. Farmer was the only player in the game to score in double figures. Alayna McNulty added nine points for the Tigers, while Kalli Miller contributed eight points to the win.

Kailey Davidson’s eight points were tops for Rural Retrea.t
