Honaker 3, Rural Retreat 1
Carey Keene dominated at the net to the tune of 10 kills and six blocks as the Honaker Tigers opened Hogoheegee District play by recording a 17-25, 25-23, 25-23, 26-24 win over Rural Retreat.
Kalli Miller (13 digs, seven service points), Graceson Whited (17 assists, 14 service points) and Cheyenne Musick (nine service points) also aided the triumph.
Honaker is 7-2.
“I’m very proud of this group of girls they are working extremely hard and it showed tonight,” said Honaker coach Misty Davis Miller. “A big key in tonight’s win was how well we played at the net. ... The team had great energy and hustle.”
