Honaker 59, Patrick Henry 43

SALTVILLE, Va. –The Patrick Henry Rebels welcomed Cade Caywood back to their starting lineup on Wednesday.

His return just so happened to come against a squad whose veteran lineup was clicking on all cylinders.

Honaker built a 21-point halftime lead and had three dudes finish the game with double-digit point totals as the top-seeded Tigers posted a win over PH in the semifinals of the Hogoheegee District tournament.

“We were really defending, taking what they were giving; it was pretty basketball,” said Honaker coach Waylon Hart. “When we share the ball and go to the right spots, we’ve got enough talent and enough athletes to really give people problems. … We were sharing the ball beautifully in the first half.”

Parker Bandy finished with a team-high 13 points.

“We got after it defensively and it led to a bunch of transition baskets and we shared the ball really well to start the game,” Bandy said.
