Alayna McNulty led four Tigers in double figures with 15 points and also had eight rebounds to lead Honaker to a Hogoheegee District victory over Rural Retreat.
Tailor Nolley added 14 points and five steals, while Kate Jessee had 12 points and Kalli Miller tallied 10 points, six steals and five assists for the Tigers (9-3, 1-0).
Annabelle Fiscus paced Rural Retreat with 11 points. Talyn Moore added nine for the Indians.
Honaker was first and Rural Retreat second in the Hogoheegee District preseason coaches poll.

Keyton Keene canned six 3-pointers and finished with 27 points in the Tigers’ Hogoheegee District home victory over the Indians.
Honaker placed four scorers in double figures, including Peyton Musick with 15 points, 12 for Parker Bandy and 10 by Aidan Lowe. The Tigers scored 20 points in the first and third quarters.
Caleb Roberts hit four 3-pointers for Rural Retreat for 14 points, while Bryson Smelser had 13 points, nine assists and seven rebounds.
