Honaker will join the Hogoheegee District beginning with the 2023-24 school year. It’ll be a Hogo homecoming for Honaker as the Tigers were a member of the league from 1978-79 through 1987-88. Chilhowie, Holston, Northwood, Patrick Henry and Rural Retreat will now be the district foes for Honaker. On September 15, 2023 Honaker will visit Holston for their first Hogoheegee District football game as a member of the league since Nov. 6, 1987, which coincidentally was also against Holston.
